It starts with physical gold.
Metal bought at source, refined to investment grade and held in a vault, with a paper trail for every kilo.
Bezant is new. The people behind it are not. Its founders have spent their careers running exchanges, post-trade infrastructure and private banks, and are now building five businesses around gold, Islamic finance and regulated markets.
Each works on its own. Connected, they become something none of them could be alone.
Metal bought at source, refined to investment grade and held in a vault, with a paper trail for every kilo.
Gold is purchased from producers under OECD-aligned due diligence, and checked before it moves.
Doré becomes 999.9 fine gold, cast and assayed in the Gulf.
Serial-numbered bars, vaulted and audited. A margin on every kilo, and nothing more.
Each token will stand for allocated gold held by a bankruptcy-remote reserve. Gold that settles like a digital asset, under Abu Dhabi Global Market rules.
Bullion supplies the token's reserve at arm's length. Every kilo it refines has a buyer. Every token has a source you can trace from mine to vault.
Arkane is a Shariah-compliance engine for Islamic capital markets. It turns a Shariah board's methodology into verdicts that can be checked, repeated and audited.
Business activity first. Then financial ratios, such as debt below 30% of market value. Then impure income below 5%. The thresholds come from the methodology the board has chosen, such as AAOIFI.
A named scholar or Shariah board approves every regulated decision, and a tamper-evident ledger records each step so it can be replayed later.
Arkane sells to banks, wealth managers and asset managers running Shariah mandates. It stays independent of the rest of the group, because independence is what makes a verdict credible.
The token is reviewed against AAOIFI Shariah Standard 57 on gold before launch, and monitored after it. The bullion that backs it is bought and settled under the same standard's rules.
The broker will arrange and advise on trades for Gulf clients: family offices, private banks and institutions. It is being set up under Abu Dhabi Global Market rules.
Orders are received and passed to regulated venues for execution. At launch, client assets sit with an independent custodian and the broker holds no client money. That keeps it light on capital and simple to supervise.
European and London markets open around midday in Abu Dhabi and close in the evening. The broker keeps both sets of hours, from 08:00 to the European close at 20:30, so Gulf clients are covered for their whole day and the whole European session. Digital assets never close.
Through our European platform partner, the broker reaches regulated markets for equities and bonds, structured products and ETPs, a regulated digital-asset venue, OTC liquidity and post-trade settlement.
The broker distributes the gold token to its Gulf clients. Every product it offers is screened by Arkane before it is sold.
The Venue brings together an established regulated exchange, with its own depository and registry, and a new venue for digital and tokenised assets built alongside it.
Listed equities and bonds trade on a regulated market. Ownership is recorded in the exchange's own depository and registry.
Beside it, a regulated venue for tokenised real-world assets and digital securities, settled on distributed-ledger infrastructure.
An exchange is worth what trades on it. The Venue has the licences and the infrastructure. What it needs is new issuers and new investors.
The broker routes Gulf orders to the Venue and brings Gulf issuers to list there. Arkane screens what is listed, so the Venue can offer a Shariah-compliant segment. And the gold token can be traded on the digital venue.
Physical gold, a gold token, Shariah compliance, a Gulf broker and a regulated venue. Each one stands on its own.
Supply, screening, distribution, order flow and listings. Every line makes the two companies it joins worth more, and each new company adds value to the ones already there.
That is the investment: not one company, but five, and the lines between them. Connecting Gulf capital, gold and Islamic finance with regulated markets.
Five companies and eight lines between them. Each line made the companies it joined worth more, and the whole worth more than the parts.
We are raising for the group now, and share the full brief privately.
